Internship for Procurement or Purchasing

The intern will support the purchasing team in various purchasing projects across the company with the potential to support local cross-functional teams.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Assist in sourcing materials, goods, and services on behalf of the employer to be used in daily operations.

  • Assist in maintaining stock levels, and may also conduct research, negotiate with vendors, and interview prospective suppliers.

  • Help in monitoring deliveries after an order is placed. Through the process, all open purchase orders are monitored. This process aims to minimize, if not, eliminate late deliveries and improve on-time delivery.

  • Support the team on various projects focusing on process standardization and validation.

  • Assist in inventory process in the Warehouse area.

  • Provide support in processing activities in the system to update user profiles, and data updates and do supplier engagement and training.

  • Performing other duties when needed.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Written, verbal communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Organizational and planning skills.

  • Excellent networking and time management skills.

  • Willingness to work with a variety of team members.

  • The high energy level and ability to multitask.

  • Desire to learn and take on responsibility.

  • Professionally conduct all interactions.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Teams, and PowerPoint.

Education and Experience:

  • Field of Study: Engineering, Finance, or Business Administration background preferred.
